Buckle up and full speed ahead

Now that we are in the mindset of changing things that are not working, why not do something about our misery over being stuck in a boring suburb? This is how it went: mr. Zitnie and I went to the beach last week and there it hit us. We made a wrong decision, but with some guts and effort we can turn things around. Breathing the atmosphere of the coast and experiencing the relaxed lifestyle, it was very clear to us: this is the Sydney everybody talks about and enjoys. Not the Wisteria Lane we unfortunately ended up.

So are we willing to take the leap into insecurity, but with a good chance to make things (a whole lot) better? You betcha. Plan: A) cancel our lease by 1 December and B) hope to find a new home on the Northern Beaches as quick as a cricket! Risk: B might not go so smoothly as hoped for. Good thing it will be summer by then: sleeping in a cardboard box will not be that bad, and we saw an amazing outdoors barbie right on the spot. No worries. Let’s hope the sign on our stuff ‘NO RUBBISH – AND NO GARAGE SALE’ will be enough to keep the collectors away from our couch/bed/table and chairs/flatscreen/Bali artworks/trendy stools/audioset/European (so stylish!) wardrobe.

Hhhmmmm, think I discovered a weakness in our plan de campagne. ‘Maar wie A zegt, moet ook B zeggen’. Think I will keep it at C for the moment… cheers, and wish us luck!
